 Driving and Parking Downtown Charleston. I voucher parking for city garages and there is complementary 2 hour parking in the B District. The directions below are front ways/backways and shortcuts. For those traveling from Mt. Pleasant, the directions sighted will omit at least 15 minutes of driving (sitting) time, though the route is not as scenic. (For my 830am clients coming from Mt. Pleasant, a left can also be made onto Charlotte Street, if Chapel Street turn lane is backed up). My address is 140A (top floor) East Bay Street, Charleston SC 29401. 

From North Charleston/ Charleston International Airport 

1. Merge onto I-26 E toward CHARLESTON

2. Take the RUTLEDGE AVE exit, EXIT 219 A, on the RIGHT    

3. Go STRAIGHT over The Crosstown. 

4. Merge into MIDDLE Lane after Spring Street

5. Go STRAIGHT across Calhoun to Broad Street

6. Left on Broad Street, straight to light at Broad Street and East Bay Street.

a. Right on East Bay Street, Immediate Left onto Exchange St., Left on Prioleau Street, Left into City Garage (garage attached to office building). Across from City Gallery at Waterfront Park. 

b. Right on East Bay Street, Immediate Left onto Exchange St., Right on Concord Street, 2 hour residential parking B District. 

c. At light on Broad Street and East Bay Street; Left on East Bay Street, Right onto Cumberland Street, Right into City Garage.  

From James Island

1. Take SC-30 E/JAMES ISLAND EXPY 

2. Take the LOCKWOOD DR-SOUTH ramp

3. Lockwood turns into Broad Street, keep straight until Broad Street and East Bay Street intersect.

a. Right on East Bay Street, Immediate Left onto Exchange St., Left on Prioleau Street, Left into City Garage (garage attached to office building). Across from City Gallery at Waterfront Park.

b. Right on East Bay Street, Immediate Left onto Exchange St., Right on Concord Street, 2 hour residential parking B District. 

c. At light on Broad Street and East Bay Street; Left on East Bay Street, Right onto Cumberland Street, Right into City Garage (across from Fleet Landing).   

From Kiawah, Seabrook, Johns Island/Airport

1. MAYBANK HWY/SC-700 towards Charleston
2. Turn Lane Right onto FOLLY RD/SC-171. Continue to follow SC-171
3. Turn Left onto SC-30 E/JAMES ISLAND EXPY 

4. Take the LOCKWOOD DR-SOUTH ramp

5. Lockwood turns into Broad Street, keep straight until Broad and East Bay Street intersect.

1. Take 17 South onto US-17 S/ARTHUR RAVENEL JR BRIDGE toward CHARLESTON.
2. Take the MORRISON DR exit toward E. BAY ST
3. Take a LEFT on Chapel Street
4. Right onto Washington Street
5. Washington Street will turn into Pritchard Street
6. Pritchard Street will turn into Concord Street

7. parking options from here...

   a. Follow Concord Street to Vendue Range, Left on Prioleau Street, Right into City Garage (garage attached to office building). Across from City Gallery at Waterfront Park.

   b. Follow Concord to Vendue Range, Left on Prioleau Street, Left on Exchange Street, Right onto Concord Street, 2 hour residential parking B District. 

   c. Follow Concord Street to Cumberland Street, Right on Cumberland, Left into City Garage. 

      *If you prefer the open air parking, I would recommend parking in the residential B District , 2 hour complimentary parking. 140B East Bay Street is a short stroll. Parking there is from 9am~5pm, Mon ~ Friday. Outside of those hours, parking is fully complimentary. 

           *To get into Concord garage, you could also make a right on Cone Street, off of East Bay Street. The entrance on Cone Street is more likely to be marked "full", prior full point, hence directions to Cumberland Street entrance.
