At the moment my schedule is booked with one on one professional contracts, 9 months out of the year. Some space has opened, as I have ended pro team contracts (more flexibility and versatility). I only accept referrals from Eastern and Western Doctors and Sports Medicine Practitioners. I do have a solid MT referral base. If outside of the above stated zone, contact me and I will send you in the most unified direction possible.
It is also worth mentioning, that under NO circumstances, do I offer sensual massage. If and when I ever receive requests as these, they are recorded, copied and sent to my close friends at various levels of authority, and my attorneys. You have been notified.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to assist the body to improve circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for relieving chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure one is comfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is a possibility after the treatment, and that plenty of water could be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been "let go" from the deep tissue during the session.
Neuromuscular Therapy
Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible for every movement, function and thought) to the body very slowly. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress can cause nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. It is therefore necessary to stabilize low levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones (meridians) in ones feet and hands. Unlike other foot/hand massages that intend to mostly relieve tension, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize ones entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into the feet and hands. Reflexology treatments have been found highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, stress and depression.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and relieving “trigger points” in ones body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These ‘knots’ are built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to relieve the trigger point. This process can be quite experiential at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Prevention is the name of the game. Maintaning agile and responsive systems. Sports Massage enhances performance and assists in injury prevention, reducing pain and swelling in the body, relaxing the mind, increasing flexibility, and dramatically improving recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of athletic injury, by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.
Myofascial Release
Fascia is a thin tissue that covers all the organs of the body. This tissue covers every muscle and every fiber within each muscle. All muscle stretching then, is actually stretching of the fascia and the muscle, the myofascial unit. When muscle fibers are stressed or injured, the fibers and the fascia which surrounds it become short and tight. Myofascial release is used to lengthen the fascia which in turn relieves the muscle and their fibers.
Medical Massage
Medical Massage differs from regular Massage and Bodywork in that the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions diagnosed by a medical doctor. I may implore various modalities or techniques during the treatment. This enhances the body’s natural self-healing process and reduces the needed recovery time from misalignment.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy is a time in which a woman’s body endures tremendous change due to physical, mental, and emotional shifts. Using various techniques specifically for the mother, Pregnancy Massage assists to alleviate discomforts experienced throughout the pregnancy (the 2nd and 3rd trimester and post). The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the reduction of joint pain and improved breathing and relaxation, enhancing digestive ease.
Stone Therapy
Stone Therapy is a type of bodywork that uses deep penetrating heat and/or alternating cold from specialized stones. The physiological benefits of alternating hot and cold to the body have long been scientifically and medically proven.
Stone Therapy delivers a profound expansion and contraction inside ones circulatory system, improving the function of ones lymphatic and immune systems, and enhancing ones body’s self-healing mechanisms. This style of bodywork takes one into deep states of relaxation, relieving stress and anxiety, detoxifying the body, and balancing ones nervous system. The stones we enjoy have been collected from all over the world. Great Experience!
